Comforter
According to SpanishDict.com, Consuelo means comfort. It is meant in the sense to bring comfort in a time of emotional need for solace. That name fits me perfectly. My huge personality has always been to be a comfort to those in need. Born in 1977 and a native Chicagoan, I am the decedent of African American, Caucasian and Jewish strong men and women who take pride in family, education and community service. My education began at Leslie Finch Pre School, continued to Brian Piccolo Elementary School and progressed as I attended Von Stueben Metropolitan Science Center for high school. Between educational years I attended a series of leadership and economic study classes through a program called Chicago Area Projects or CAP for short. I list these facilities because they created the foundation that would surround my education and career choices for the rest of my life. These institutions, at the time, were some of the most diverse in ethnicity and economic standings in the city. My education was grounded around these two facts: 1. Mastering leadership requires mastering servitude and 2. Education as a priceless power. My mother had the genius to surround me in my tiny life pod with genuine melting pots that truly reflected the society that I would come to integrate myself into. Progressing after high school, my education grew with my move to Alabama studying finance and business administration at local universities including Auburn University Montgomery and Troy University Montgomery. I enjoyed a plethora of service employment positions as detailed in my personal profile below. Enjoy!
